Yes, I too have heard instrumental versions of this song being played in the background of a number of 20th Century-Fox movies (you pointed out one: "The Dark Corner"). Yes, Chris Montez had a huge pop hit with it in the 60's...and Dick Haymes had a hit with it originally in the 40's (he'd sung the song in a Fox movie opposite Betty Grable). CHEERS, mate! :-)
