"all this (a united Ireland) would do is create an isolated underclass of Northern Irish non-Catholics."Why are you so certain that this is what would happen? I recognize that it is a possibility, but I don't think it's a very likely outcome. How and why would a united Ireland "remove all civil rights from the Northern non-Catholic people"?

This song really makes me think. The IRA is not the IRA that it was. Conolly laid down his guns and others kept fighting on. Hopefully after Paisly kicks the bucket people will finally start to realize that the older generations that still bear the old hates will leave us a new opportunity. Dias bualuah leat.

Pease expand on what you mean by a United Ireland. Culturally, Economically, and by way of tourism, Ireland already is United. If what you actually mean is a one -government Ireland, well all that would do is create an isolated underclass of Northern Irish non-catholics and move a lot of paperwork from Belfast to Dublin. The one thing it would be assured not to do is Unite Ireland. Unless you would remove all civil rights from the Northern non-Catholic people to acheive this. ?????

As an American of Irish blood who has lost friends to this war and yes it was a war...I say peace is better however peace in Ireland as it is now, would not have happened if a few thousand men and woman had NOT taken up the gun. I don't condone it, yet I don't condemn it either. All sides in this fecked up...but sometimes ordinary men and women need to take up to gun to make the point, sacrifice their lives so that the rest can live in peace.

The hypocrasy leaves me cold. Only Britain could murder 1 million people through hunger and displace another 2 million throughout the globe and believe an apology will suffice. Remember the Martyr's, one and all.Tiocfaidh ar la

Great video. I have great sympathy for the irish struggle for freedom and justice. and i think many germans think also.
