It needs to include the BBC iPlayer - not bothered about ITVplayer, as their content is mostly pants.

Wow. I love the idea of this. Hopefully many TV manufacturers will adopt Ubuntu TV as their Operating System, or we will be allowed to overwrite the factory OS with Ubuntu TV... Manufacturers just need to make sure that their TVs have several USB ports (for hard drives and wireless keyboard/mouse) and also that it has WiFi built in.

Good luck Apple And Microsoft. One of these days you will wake up and the guy who tells you what people want to see in an OS will no longer call the shots, and his job will be as simple as one word... Linux.

I think it's objective is to work with tuner cards (whole ball of worms, encrypted channels do not USUALLY work).SiliconDust (HD HomeRun) makes some products to look into.Short Answer, Hauppauge makes a USB HD stick tuner (DO RESEARCH) That MIGHT work, but Using Windows Media Center 7 Is super easy.Google "Boxee WMC integration", and do the same for hulu desktop, use Kylo Browser and you have everything you need to cut the cord |
