Free Website Promotion Using Traffic Exchanges
By: Adrianne Geyer

Success on the internet comes down to one simple thing...Traffic. No matter what you sell, more traffic means more potential customers, and this can be accomplished in less time using a good, reliable traffic exchange. When you have enough targeted traffic you make more sales, earn more affiliate commissions, grow a powerful mailing list faster, therefore achieving your online goals in record time.

How Do You Get Traffic?

The quickest way to get immediate traffic to your website is by joining a free traffic exchange. After you join, a duplicate website of the traffic exchange will be created for you. This is known as your affiliate link. When other people join the same traffic exchange through your affiliate link, you will earn unlimited views of your website from them, and also from the people they refer down through several levels.

There?s no limit to the amount of traffic you can earn. Many traffic exchanges also award you with bonus points, cash, and credits as you promote your business. After you have joined a traffic exchange, log in and add the url address to the website you would like to get traffic to. To begin earning traffic to your site, click ?start surfing? in your members area. For each website that you visit, you will earn a visit back to your own website.

If this becomes too time consuming, you have the option to purchase a paid advertisement which will buy credits to your website. These credits determine how many times your website will be displayed. Some traffic exchanges charge as little as $4 per month, and you can discontinue the ad at any time. If any of the people you referred to the traffic exchange purchase an ad, you will earn a monthly percentage of their advertising fee, for as long as they continue the paid ad. Some traffic exchanges refer to this purchase as an upgrade, because you have upgraded your account from a free membership. Upgraded members receive more visits to their website, and several bonuses for upgrading.

Which Traffic Exchange to Join?

There is more than one traffic exchange online. There is actually thousands, and they come in all shapes and sizes. You can go to any search engine and type in ?traffic exchange? in quotes to get a list of traffic exchanges to join. I would suggest you check out one of the rating sites for all the traffic exchanges. Things you want to know are, how active is the membership, are the members getting good results, and does traffic get delivered to your website in a timely manner. This is very important because you have to find out for yourself what works. One way to do this is by tracking your affiliate links. This is a great thing to start doing for all your online businesses or websites. By tracking your links, you can see what works and what doesn't.
