There is NO clear definition for; Article Marketer on the Internet. Indeed in Trade Journals in print we see folks usually experts in their field who write articles and at the bottom have a byline with the name of their company. Presumably people read these articles find informational value and contact the writer of the article to hire them as a consultant or purchase products or services from their company.
In online article marketing it is much the same. Yet there are some incredible force multipliers involved the distribution aspect of all of this. For instance there are what they call Online Article Submission Websites and the writer of an article will find that their article is distributed throughout the Internet to whichever online electronic sources need it. For instance a website might use it as content, an online newsletter might send it out to 10s of thousands of email subscription based clients, a print publication may borrow it too or a Blog might place it on their page to make a point. No matter what the online Article Marketer sure has an advantage over the Trade Journal article marketers of the past.
Article Marketer of the electronic age cannot be Clearly Defined, because it is all what you make of it. Politicians, Non-profits, Business People and even government agencies are all using article marketing to get the reader to do something, think something, vote for someone, donate money or purchase a product or service. So the definition of Article Marketer is expanding and evolving in the electronic format far beyond the past period of print only publications. Consider all this in 2006.
